New at Dollywood
Dollywood adds more excitement to its lineup this year with the debut of Timber Tower, the first and only ride of its kind in the country! The park’s latest addition will swing and sway, rotate and topple in various directions at a 60-degree angle, providing riders with a one-of-a-kind thrill! Timber Canyon, the area surrounding Timber Tower, will carry a lumber camp theme and include Lumberjack Lifts and the children’s play area Lil’ Loggers’ Landing.
Dollywood’s stellar entertainment includes two concert events. Bluegrass & BBQ (Sept. 15-27) features some of the biggest names in bluegrass music along with the country’s tastiest barbecue. Artists scheduled to appear include Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Ralph Stanley & the Clinch Mountain Boys, the Del McCoury Band and many more.* Savor the great music along with barbecue favorites from the Carolina’s roasted pork to tangy Texas Southwestern brisket.
Dollywood’s National Gospel & Harvest Celebration (Sept. 29-Oct. 28) features four weeks of soul stirring Southern gospel concerts. The sounds of the McKameys, Gold City, Dottie Rambo, the Isaacs, the Dixie Melody Boys, the Florida Boys and many others are sure to lift your spirits and raise the rafters.*
Look for Dreamland Drive-In in Dollywood’s Jukebox Junction for a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The park’s newest show opens May 13 and features many of the chart-topping tunes of the ’50s and ’60s. And don’t miss Dollywood’s most elaborate stage show ever—Dollywood’s Babes in Toyland—premiering Nov. 4 in DP’s Celebrity Theatre.
